Ingredients

  • 250 g uncooked spahetti
  • 400 ml sauce (Bolognese or marinara)
  • 250 g cheese, diced or rated Gouda cheese (or other cheese)
  • 360 g flour
  • 6 g dry yeast, (approx. 2 teaspoons)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 teaspoons sugar
  • 60 ml olive oil
  • 360 ml water, warm
  • 1 egg (s)
  • Parmesan, grated
  • parsley, dried
  • Garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Mix the dry yeast, salt, sugar, warm water and half of the oil in a larger bowl and let stand for 5 minutes.
  2. Continue with the flour, put it in the bowl and work in with a dough hook, as soon as it has been kneaded generously, pour in the remaining oil and continue kneading the dough vigorously for a few minutes.

The rectangle should be big enough that the pasta with the sauce fits in the middle and about 1/3 protrudes from the dough on both sides. Spread the cheese over the pasta and sauce mixture.
  8. Now cut the long sides of the dough into strips so that you have individual strips that you can fold over the spaghetti sauce mixture. Start from the top and fold the top edge down onto the pasta, then alternately fold the strips over the mixture from one side, so that a nice braided loaf is created. Fold under the end accordingly. Brush with the beaten egg and sprinkle with parmesan, parsley and garlic powder.
  9. Bake the whole thing in the oven for about 30 minutes.
  10. Cut into pieces and serve.
