Stuffed Loaf

The recipe for a very original and very satisfying snack for a quick hand, which is very convenient to take with you on a trip or to the country. The stuffed loaf is very easy to prepare. We will use herring, eggs, and carrots as the filling.

How to cook a loaf stuffed with herring, eggs, and carrots:

Directions

Cut off one edge of the loaf and with a long knife cut out the crumb along the entire length, being careful not to damage the crust. We also remove the crumb from the top.
Grind the crumb with your hands and combine it with finely chopped herbs. Stir so that the greens are evenly distributed.
Fill everything with not very hot melted butter. Salt a little.
Rub the carrots on a coarse grater.
We also grind eggs in the same way as carrots.
Cut the herring into cubes.
We mix all prepared ingredients with bread crumbs. We taste and add salt to taste.
We stuff the loaf, tamping the filling with a spoon.
Cover the loaf with foil and send it to the refrigerator for at least 3-4 hours so that the butter “seizes”.
Cut the stuffed loaf into portions and you can eat. One loaf makes about 25 sandwiches.
