Stuffed Picnic Loaf

It is convenient to take a stuffed loaf with you to the countryside or to work. Such an appetizer is prepared simply and without much effort. It looks original even on a festive table. Hearty, tasty, and simple! The filling can be adjusted to suit your taste.
Ingredients
- Baton – 1 pc.
- Canned sardines with oil (or mackerel, tuna) – 1 can
- or salted herring
- Boiled eggs – 2 pcs.
- Pickled cucumber – 1 pc.
- Butter – 200 g
- Dill – 1 bunch
- Salt
- Ground black pepper
Directions
- Free the loaf from the crumb, leaving only the crust (if the loaf is too long, cut it in two).
- Add finely chopped dill to the chopped bread crumb.
- Then add the pre-melted butter. Mix thoroughly.
- Separately knead canned sardines (without oil). You can use other canned fish or salted herring.
- Rub boiled eggs and pickled cucumber on a coarse grater, mix with fish.
- We mix everything together.
- Stuff the loaf tightly with the prepared fish filling.
- Wrap it in cling film and remove the stuffed loaf in the cold for 2-3 hours, or overnight.
