Ingredients

  • 300 grams flour
  • 200 g suar
  • 200 g butter
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 4 egg whites
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 200 g almonds, round

Instructions

  1. Dough:
  2. Mix the flour, baking powder, 200 g sugar, butter, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and the egg yolk together and then cool for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Roll out the fairly firm and crumbly dough evenly on a baking sheet and scratch lightly with a fork.
  4. Beat the egg white with 150 g sugar until stiff and then fold in the almonds. Put the mixture on the rolled out dough and spread it smoothly.
  5. Bake on the lower rack at 150 degrees fan-assisted / hot air for 20 minutes, until the mixture on top turns lightly brown.
  6. Take out of the oven and cut into small rectangles or diamonds with a thin knife while it is still hot. If desired, you can dip one end in couverture.
  7. The Laibla (cookies) are very easy and quick to make and whoever tries them will love them.
