Try to pickle herring at home in three days. According to this recipe, salted herring is cooked in a spicy brine. The fish is very tasty and appetizing!
Ingredients
Herring – 2 pcs.
Coriander peas – 1 teaspoon
Allspice peas – 6 pcs.
Black peppercorns – 6 pcs.
Bay leaf – 2 pcs.
Salt – 4 tbsp
Sugar – 2 tbsp
Water – 1 l

Sunflower oil

Prepare fish and other ingredients.
Pour all the spices into a mortar and crush a little, then pour into a bowl for salting.
Add salt and sugar to boiled water, mix well, let dissolve. Cool the water to room temperature. You don’t need to boil anything.
Defrost and wash the herring beforehand. The insides and head of the fish can be removed or left. Put the fish in a bowl with spices and pour with brine so that the fish is completely covered with water.
Put a small weight on top so that the fish does not float, cover it with a lid. Leave the dishes with herring for 2-3 hours at room temperature. In the process of salting, turn the fish to the other side so that it is evenly salted. Then remove the herring in a spicy brine in the refrigerator for 3 days.
On the third day, the spicy salted herring is ready. Before serving, season the fish fillet with sunflower oil and add the onion rings.
