Ingredients

  • 500 g split peas, dried
  • 200 g sesame paste
  • 100 g sunflower oil
  • 100 ml lemon juice
  • 70 g wild arlic paste
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons cumin powder
  • 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Boil the split peas in 3 times the amount of water for about 1.5 hours. Pour off water and collect it.
  2. Grind all ingredients with a hand blender or in a suitable food processor / mixer to a homogeneous paste. If necessary, dilute with the cooking water to the desired consistency, was not necessary for me until now.
  3. Makes about 1.75 liters of split pea hummus. When filled in glasses, it can be boiled down at 99 ° C for 90 minutes.
