Chickpea Paste “Hummus”

Servings: 6-8

Ingredients

  • Chickpeas – 1.5 Glasses
  • Soda – 1 Teaspoon
  • Water – 6.5 Glasses
  • Tahini – 1 Glass
  • Lemon – 2 Pieces
  • Garlic – 4 Cloves
  • Ice water – 6.5 Art. spoons
  • Salt – 1-2 Teaspoons (to taste)

Directions

  1. Wash chickpeas 2-3 times under running water and soak overnight. In the morning, put the chickpeas with soda on the fire and simmer for 3 minutes. Then pour in water and cook for 20-40 minutes until tender.
  2. Gently peel the chickpeas from the films and place in the blender bowl. Grind into a paste.
  3. Add garlic, juice of two lemons, salt, tahini. In the process, add ice water to make the paste the desired consistency.
  4. Leave the finished hummus for half an hour before serving to infuse.
