Ingredients

  • 400 g mushrooms, small
  • 100 g chanterelles
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 3 stalks thyme
  • Herbs, fresh, for garnish
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 150 ml cream
  • 4 rump steak (s) approx. 150 g each
  • 1 tablespoon sauce thickener, lighter
  • 250 ml water

Instructions

  1. Wash and clean the mushrooms and chanterelles. Then halve the mushrooms. Peel and finely dice the onion. Wash and chop the thyme.
  2. Fry the mushrooms and onion vigorously in a pan. Season with salt and pepper. Deglaze with water and cream and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  3. Fry the steaks vigorously on each side in another hot pan. Season with salt and pepper. Then fry for 3-6 minutes to the end.
  4. Scatter sauce thickener into the sauce. Bring to the boil again and season to taste.
  5. Serve the steaks with the mushroom cream and garnish with fresh herbs.
  6. Rösti go well with it.
