A stuffed baguette is a kind of “reverse sandwich”. The filling here is not located on the top, but inside the bread, such a baguette with a filling will not fall apart. We can use any filling that suits our taste, for example, sausages and canned cucumbers.
Ingredients
Small baguette (or loaf) – 1 pc.
Sausages – 120 g
Pickled or pickled cucumbers – 1-2 pcs.
Butter (softened) – 60 g
Hot mustard – 1 teaspoon
Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon
Green onions – to taste
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper – to taste
Directions
We will make an incision along with the baguette or loaf, unfold the baguette like a book (you can simply cut it along).
Remove the pulp from the baguette. Place the pulp in the oven, preheated to a low temperature, dry it.
In the meantime, the bread dries up in the oven, let’s start filling. Boil the sausage and cut it into small pieces.
Finely chop the cucumber too.
Grind mustard with lemon juice squeezed from a quarter of a lemon.
Grind the butter with mustard.
Add cucumber, sausage, chopped green onion to the oil, crush the dried bread pulp.
Mix everything. The filling is ready.
Stuff the baguette with the prepared filling.
Close, fasten (can be fixed with an elastic band).
Wrap the stuffed baguette in plastic wrap, bag, parchment paper or foil. Put in the refrigerator or freezer for a few hours for a shorter amount of time, about an hour.
