Today I propose to cook a spectacular and tasty Sunflower pie with two different fillings – meat and cheese.
Ingredients
For the dough:
Flour – 400 g
Milk – 150 ml
Water – 50 ml
Egg – 1 pc.
Fresh yeast – 13-14 g
Butter – 60 g
Sugar – 1 tbsp (25 g)
Salt – 1 teaspoon (5 g)
For filling:
Minced meat any (or any boiled meat) – 250 g
Onions – 150 g
Salt – 3 g
Any cheese – 300 g
Ground black pepper (optional) – to taste
Fresh greens – to taste
Vegetable oil – for frying
To grease the cake:
Yolk – 1 pc.
Milk – 1 teaspoon.
For sprinkling the cake:
Black sesame (or poppy) – to taste
Directions
Add yeast to warm water (about 30 ° C) and stir. Add half a teaspoon of sugar and a teaspoon of flour to them (all of the total). Mix everything and leave until a frothy cap appears. This will take 10-20 minutes, depending on the quality of the yeast.
Set aside a spoonful of flour, add salt to the rest.
Melt the butter.
Shake the egg with the remaining sugar.
Make a well in the flour and pour yeast, egg, milk into it. Mix everything and add butter last.
Knead the dough until smooth. Cover with plastic foil and place the yeast dough in a warm place for about an hour.
Prepare products for the filling. You can use both raw minced meat and boiled meat. It can be minced or chopped by hand. Cheese is also any, according to your taste: feta cheese, suluguni, mozzarella, whatever you like best. You can even mix varieties, it will be even more interesting. I have in this pie – half feta cheese with mozzarella.
Meat filling for the pie. Cut the onion into small cubes.
Fry it until light golden.
Put the minced meat and fry it on high heat until the color changes. Add salt and pepper (optional) and heat for another two to three minutes. Add some chopped greens for flavor.
Cheese filling for the pie. Grate cheese or mash with a fork.
Add herbs to the cheese and mix everything. On this, both fillings are ready.
Divide the suitable pie dough into two parts, round and leave for 15-20 minutes. Roll out a round cake from one part.
Transfer it to the parchment and place the meat filling in the middle.
Spread the cheese filling around. Try to keep a small distance between the cheese and meat.
Roll out the second flatbread and cover the top with the pie. Press down on the border of the two fillings.
Cut the cheese filling into sectors, from which to form “petals”, fixing the dough in a circle, and turn the “petals” 90 degrees with one open side. Put the yeast dough pie on a baking sheet and leave for 15 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 180 ° C. Grease the pie with yolk and milk on top. Sprinkle the center of the pie with poppy seeds, seeds or black sesame seeds.
Place the yeast pie with meat and cheese in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes. When ready, cover the Sunflower cake with a towel and let it cool slightly.
