Ingredients

  • 4 medium tomato (s)
  • 4 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon oil (sesame oil)
  • 2 clove (s) garlic, sliced
  • 1 onion (s), cut into rings
  • salt
  • Thyme, dried
  • Oregano, dried
  • sugar

Instructions

  1. Wash the tomatoes, cut into slightly thicker slices and place in a hot pan with the olive and sesame oil. Immediately season the top with salt, sugar, oregano and thyme. After about 1 minute, turn the tomatoes and then season the other side. Turn again after a minute and the tomatoes are ready.
  2. Carefully place the tomatoes on a plate and then briefly toss the sliced garlic in the pan. Pour over the tomatoes together with the oil from the pan. Finally, you can put the onion rings on top of the tomatoes.
  3. It is best to chill this antipasti in the refrigerator for about 1 hour until you are ready to eat it, then it tastes best.
  4. Great as a side dish for grilling or for any kind of Mediterranean food.
