  • 2 rolls
  • 50 g butter
  • 2 onions)

  • 1 bunch mugwort

Instructions

  1. Wash the turkey thoroughly inside and out, and then dry it off well with kitchen paper. Season with salt and pepper on the outside and inside as desired.
  2. Peel the apples, remove the core and cut into small cubes. The rolls are also cut into cubes.
  3. Melt the butter in a large pan over medium heat, add the finely chopped onions, the bread rolls and the apple cubes. Swirl from time to time until the cubes are lightly browned.
  4. Meanwhile, cut the herbs into small pieces. Mix the herbs into the apple, roll and onion mixture and season with pepper, salt and a little sugar. Now pour the mixture into the turkey and then close it tightly.
  5. Place the turkey on a roasting tray and put it in the preheated stove (200 ° C) for 1 hour. Turn the turkey after half an hour. Then turn the stove down to 80 ° C and let the turkey roast for another 9 hours.
  6. If it is an older stove, it is better to check with an oven thermo whether the temperature is being maintained.
  7. Finally, increase the temperature to 200 ° C for another half an hour. Make sure to let the turkey rest for about 15 minutes before carving.
