Viennese Cherry Pie

Very aromatic, fluffy and soft Viennese cherry pie has a delicious taste. This recipe cherry pie is perfect for a cozy homemade tea party or friendly gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Butter – 180 g
  • Chicken eggs (large) – 4 pcs.
  • Sugar – 120 g
  • Vanilla sugar – 15 g
  • Wheat flour – 200 g
  • Baking dough – 1.5 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • Pitted cherries – 300 g
  • Almonds (flakes) – 1 tablespoon
  • Powdered sugar (for sprinkling) – to taste

Directions

  1. Whisk the softened butter with sugar and vanilla sugar into a fluffy creamy mass.
  2. Without stopping whisking, add all the eggs one at a time.
  3. Beat well.
  4. Gradually add flour, baking powder and salt.
  5. Beat everything together until smooth and fluffy.
  6. You should have a soft, thick dough.
  7. Grease a 22 cm baking dish with butter. (To do this, it is convenient to use an empty paper packaging from the oil, it always contains the amount of oil that is necessary for lubrication.) Distribute the dough evenly over the mold.
  8. Put the pitted cherries on top of the dough, without pressing them.
  9. Sprinkle the cherry pie with almond flakes and place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. Bake the Viennese cherry pie for 30-40 minutes, check the readiness with a dry wooden skewer.
  10. Cool the finished cherry pie in a mold. Then take it out gently.
  11. Sprinkle the surface of the cherry pie with icing sugar and serve with tea.
