Ingredients

  • 450 g beans, white
  • 250 ml water, lukewarm, approximately
  • 2 bell peppers, yellow and red
  • 2 carrot (s)
  • 2 sweet potato (s)
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 1 can tomatoes, lumpy, drained weight 375 g
  • 0.5 ½ bunch parsley
  • 0.5 ½ teaspoon, heaped caraway seeds
  • 0.5 ½ teaspoon, crushed paprika powder, noble sweet
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Soak the beans in water overnight.
  2. Dice the onion and fry in hot olive oil. Cut both peppers into strips, dice the carrots and sweet potatoes and fry everything as well. Add the beans, spices, finely chopped parsley, tomatoes and pepper and simmer. After 3 minutes pour in the water and cook for about 40 minutes. Always check the water and add sparingly until the beans are cooked. Salt at the very end.
  3. Rice goes well with this.
