Whole Grain Strudel with Apples and Nuts

A perfect combination of thin, light dough and aromatic, delicate fruit filling.

Ingredients

For the dough:

  • Whole grain flour – 250 g
  • Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Butter – 100 g
  • Warm water – 100 ml

For filling:

  • Apples – 6 pcs.
  • Nuts (almonds) – 1 handful
  • Sugar – 50 g
  • Cinnamon – 1 teaspoon

For decoration:

  • Powdered sugar

Directions

  1. First, for the dough, we need 200 g of flour (I take whole grain), one egg, 1 tablespoon. a spoonful of vegetable oil, 100 ml of warm water and 100 g of butter.
  2. Mix everything well.
  3. Add another 50 g flour and knead the dough.
  4. We send the dough to the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
  5. Then roll out the dough very thinly.
  6. We put it on a towel.
  7. Put the filling on the rolled dough in layers. First, chopped almonds.
  8. Then apples, grated.
  9. Sprinkle apples with sugar and cinnamon.
  10. Use a towel to roll up a roll with apples and nuts.
  11. We bake the whole grain apple and nut strudel in a preheated oven for 35 minutes at 220 degrees.
    Sprinkle with icing sugar before serving.
