Ingredients

For the ground:

  • 4 egg (s)
  • 300 grams flour
  • 250 grams sugar
  • 50 g cocoa powder
  • 0.25 liter ¼ sour cream
  • 1 packet baking soda
  • 250 g butter

For covering:

  • 250 g powdered suar
  • 250 g semolina, finer
  • 250 g butter
  • 2 small Bottle / s bitter almond flavor

For the cast:

  • 2 cups cake icing, (chocolate icing)

Instructions

  1. Put the ingredients for the base in a bowl and stir well together.
  2. Spread the dough on a lightly greased baking sheet and cook at 180 degrees for about 45 - 60 minutes. to bake.
  3. For the topping, mix the softened butter with the powdered sugar, the semolina and the bitter almond flavor.
  4. Now distribute the mixture on the baked, still slightly warm base with a hot knife and cover with chocolate icing.
  5. I got the recipe from a friend from the former GDR. There the mass was called false marzipan. Hence the name for the cake. It is very powerful but also very tasty.
