Yeast Dough Apple Pie

Apple pie can be not only tasty, but also beautiful.) The yeast dough is laid out in strips in the form, alternating with thinly sliced ​​apples. Such a cake will definitely attract the attention of guests, and by the end of the holiday there will be no crumbs left from the cake!

Ingredients

  • Flour – 300 g
  • Apples – 400 g (2 pcs.)
  • Milk – 120 ml
  • Sugar – 100 g
  • Butter – 60 g + for greasing the mold
  • Pressed yeast – 15 g
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • Cream – 30 g (2 tablespoons)

For filing (optional):

  • Powdered sugar – to taste
  • Fresh mint – to taste

Directions

  1. Remove the butter from the refrigerator beforehand to soften. Sift the flour, heat the milk to a temperature of 35-37 degrees (it is convenient to heat it up in a microwave oven).
    It is best to use sweet and sour apples for baking (simirenko, gloucester, idared).
    During the cooking process, you will need parchment paper.
  2. In a deep bowl, combine warm milk, 1 tablespoon. a spoonful of sugar, 1 tablespoon. a spoonful of flour and yeast.
  3. Whisk the dough until smooth and leave in a warm place for 15-20 minutes. If the yeast is good, a frothy “cap” of air bubbles forms on the surface of the dough.
  4. Add soft butter, 50 g of sugar and salt to the matched brew.
  5. Gradually adding the sifted flour, knead the dough.
  6. It is most convenient to finish kneading the dough on the table.
  7. The dough is soft, very elastic, holds its shape well and evens out quickly after pressing. Transfer the dough to a bowl and cover with cling film or a towel. Leave to rise in a warm place for 40-60 minutes.
  8. Peel the apples, cut in half and core.
  9. Cut the apples into thin slices (about 2 mm thick).
  10. The yeast dough has increased in volume by about 2.5-3 times in 1 hour.
  11. Divide the dough in two, wrinkle (release air). Roll each part of the dough in turn into a thin layer 2.5-3 mm thick.
  12. Using a pizza knife or a regular knife, cut the dough into strips 3-4 cm wide of any length.
  13. Turn on the oven to heat up to 180 degrees.
    Cover the detachable form with parchment, grease the walls of the form with butter. Lay out and secure 1-2 strips of dough along the side of the mold (in one layer).
  14. Place the apple slices slightly overlapping with the rounded edge up next to the dough strip (along the side of the mold).
  15. Then again a layer of dough, and again a layer of apples.
  16. Alternate between dough and apples until you complete the form. In the center of the mold, you can place a piece of dough rolled up.
  17. Brush the cream over the cake with a silicone cooking brush. Let the cake rise in a warm place for 15-20 minutes.
  18. Sprinkle the top of the apple pie with the remaining sugar.
    Bake the pie at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
  19. The yeast dough apple pie is ready.
  20. Remove the cake from the pan and transfer to a serving platter.
  21. You can decorate the cake with powdered sugar or fresh mint.
