Ingredients
- 5 apples, e.g. Braeburn
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice
- 125 g butter, or mararine
- 100 g suar
- 175 g flour
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch (s) salt
- 0.5 ½ pack baking powder
- 2 egg (s)
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon sugar

- Peel, core and halve the apples and score several times on the surface.
- Mix butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and salt with a whisk until creamy, stir in eggs one after the other. Mix the flour and baking powder and gradually stir in. Add lemon juice and stir again briefly.
- Put the dough in a springform pan and smooth it out. Place half the apples on the dough and press lightly, but do not press down to the bottom. Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of sugar.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180 ° C for approx. 40 - 45 minutes. Let cool a little and sprinkle with 1-2 tablespoons of powdered sugar.
- Tip:
- If you like, you can sprinkle the edge with almond leaves and, instead of powdered sugar, brush the cake with warm apricot jam.
