Ingredients

  • 4 kg apples, small, tart ones
  • 4 liters water
  • 8 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 500 g suar
  • 150 g raisins or sultanas
  • 1 liter white wine, dry
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
  • 100 g almond (s), flakes

Instructions

  1. Put 3 liters of water with the lemon juice in a bowl. Wash and peel the apples. Cut into eighths with an apple cutter and remove the core. Remove the damaged areas from the apple pieces and add them to the lemon water.
  2. Put the rest of the water with the sugar in a large saucepan and bring to the boil once. Add the wine and heat again. Then stir in the cinnamon. Drain the apples and place them in 5 prepared preserving jars with the almonds and raisins. Pour the brew over it and close the jars. Sterilize the apple and wine compote for 30 minutes at 90 ° C.
