Ingredients

  • 500g flour
  • 1 cube yeast
  • 250 ml water, lukewarm
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 150 g smoked bellies
  • 1 tablespoon marjoram, dried
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Mix the yeast with sugar and a little lukewarm water. Put the yeast in the well of the flour. Slowly add the remaining water and salt and stir with a wooden spoon. Add the finely diced bacon, marjoram and garlic and work into a smooth dough. Let rise in a covered bowl for 1 hour.
  2. Knead the dough briefly again. Divide into 4 parts and shape into baguettes. Place on a baking sheet. Score the top of each baguette approx. 3 - 4 times and brush with water.
  3. Bake in the oven preheated to 200 ° C for about 35 minutes.
