Ingredients

  • 120 g nuts, round
  • 4 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 300 grams flour
  • 130 g suar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 200 g butter, soft
  • 1 egg (s)
  • Vanilla sugar, for rolling

Instructions

  1. Heat the balsamic vinegar in a saucepan and add the nuts, stir everything well and let it steep overnight.
  2. The next day, knead all the ingredients into a smooth dough. Halve the dough and shape each into a roll. Sprinkle some vanilla sugar on the work surface and toss the rolls in it until they are well covered with the sugar.
  3. Wrap the rolls in cling film and place in the freezer for about 30 minutes.
  4. Cut approx. 4 mm thick slices from the rolls and place them on the tray.
  5. Bake at 160 degrees (convection) for about 12-15 minutes, until they start to brown slightly.
