Beef Stroganoff in Mushroom Sauce

Beef stroganoff will be even tastier if you cook meat with fried mushrooms.

Ingredients

  • Beef (sirloin) – 500 g
  • Onions – 250 g
  • Fresh mushrooms (champignons) – 250 g
  • Vegetable oil – 6-8 tbsp
  • Mustard – 1-2 teaspoon
  • Sour cream – 5-6 tbsp
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon (to taste)
  • Ground black pepper – 0.25 teaspoon (to taste)
  • Greens (optional) – to taste

Directions

  1. Products for cooking beef stroganoff in mushroom sauce.
  2. Peel the onion, wash and chop finely.
  3. Wash the mushrooms and chop finely.
  4. Heat half of the vegetable oil in a pan, put chopped mushrooms and onions in the pan, simmer over low heat (about 20 minutes).
  5. Wash the beef, cut across the fibers into pieces 1-2 cm thick, beat off.
  6. Cut the beaten meat into strips 3-4 cm long.
  7. Heat the remaining oil in another pan, put the meat.
  8. Fry the meat over a sufficiently high heat, stirring occasionally (about 10 minutes), and season with salt. Remove the meat on a plate with a slotted spoon so that the glass has excess oil.
  9. Salt onions and mushrooms, sprinkle with pepper and mix with mustard.
  10. Add the meat to the onion with mushrooms.
  11. Put the pan on low heat, add sour cream.
  12. Stir, cover the pan with a lid, keep on fire for 3-5 minutes and remove from the stove
  13. Beef stroganoff in mushroom sauce can be garnished with herbs.
