Beef Liver Stroganoff

Of course, the classic beef a la Stroganov is made from beef. Actually, the word “beef stroganoff” in translation from French means “Stroganoff beef”. And this recipe for making beef stroganoff from the liver is just a fantasy on the theme of a famous dish. But, believe me, a very tasty fantasy! Try to cook beef stroganoff from the liver in the microwave, you will not regret it. 🙂

Ingredients

  • Beef liver – 500 g
  • Onions (small size) – 1 pc.
  • Margarine (or butter) – 30 g
  • Flour – 1 tbsp
  • Tomato paste – 2 tbsp
  • Sour cream – 100 g
  • Salt – 1 tbsp (to taste)

For filling:

  • Dill greens – 15 g (to taste)

Directions

  1. How to make beef liver stroganoff (in the microwave):
  2. Wash the liver, remove the film and large ducts.
    Cut the prepared liver into 1 cm slices and beat off with a kitchen hammer if desired.
  3. Then cut the liver into small pieces.
  4. Peel the onion, wash and cut into thin half-rings. Combine the liver and onions in a heat-resistant dish (which can be put in the microwave), salt, and sprinkle with flour. Mix. Cut the margarine (or butter) into small pieces and put on top of the liver and onion.
  5. Cover the dishes with a lid and put them in the microwave. Cook the liver in the microwave at full power for 5-6 minutes.
  6. Mix sour cream with tomato paste.
  7. Add the sour cream and tomato paste mixture to the liver and onion. Mix everything.
    Cover the dishes with a lid again and cook the liver in the sauce for another 5-7 minutes at medium power.
  8. Beef liver stroganoff is ready!
  9. When serving ready-made liver stroganoff, sprinkle with chopped dill. Serve with your favorite side dish.
