Stroganoff Beef Liver

The liver is a product that contains many nutrients and vitamins. If you haven’t added liver to your diet yet, start with the Stroganoff liver. A very simple and delicious recipe for liver in sour cream sauce!

Ingredients

  • Beef liver (veal) – 140 g
  • Onions – 20 g
  • Sour cream – 30 g
  • Wheat flour – 5 g
  • Butter – 10 g
  • Animal fat (pork) – 15 g
  • Water – 30 g
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Directions

  1. Beef (veal) liver must be washed, dried, and removed from the film. Cut into plates up to 1 cm thick.
  2. Cut the onions into half rings.
  3. Fry flour in a dry frying pan until beige and pleasant aroma.
  4. Saute the onion in butter until golden brown.
  5. Cut the liver into cubes. Then quickly fry the liver in a highly heated pan with pork fat (3-5 minutes), keeping the heat high, stirring all the time. No need to fry – it will be tough. Salt.
  6. Add prepared flour and sautéed onions. Mix.
  7. Pour sour cream.
  8. Add water. If the sour cream is liquid and low in fat, do not add water, but double the rate of sour cream. The sauce should cover the liver. Boil the liver in sour cream for 2 minutes. If necessary, add salt and pepper.
  9. Stroganoff beef liver is ready.
