Boiled Potatoes, Baked with Minced Chicken, with Creamy Cheese Sauce

Delicious potatoes with a creamy taste and minced chicken – undoubtedly appetizing and easy to prepare. You can prepare this hearty, simple, and delicious meal for the whole family or for a holiday menu.

Ingredients

  • Potatoes – 500 g
  • Minced meat (chicken) – 400 g
  • Hard cheese – 100 g
  • Cream 33% – 200 ml
  • Butter – 40 g
  • Bulb onions – 100 g (1 pcs.)
  • Ground black pepper – 1 teaspoon
  • Ground paprika – 8 g
  • Ground curry – 10 g
  • Flour – 40 g
  • Vegetable broth – 300 ml
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil – 50 g
  • Fresh greens (for serving) – to taste

Directions

  1. We prepare the necessary products. You can take any minced meat to choose from (I have minced chicken).
  2. Wash the potatoes thoroughly and boil in the peel until tender – about 20 minutes. Peel the onion, rinse and cut into small cubes. Grate the cheese on a medium grater.
  3. Heat 50 ml of vegetable oil in a frying pan. Put the minced chicken in the heated oil and fry, stirring occasionally, until whitening – about 1-2 minutes. Put the onion in the pan with the meat and fry together for 2-3 minutes. Add paprika, ground pepper, and salt. Mix and fry for 1-2 minutes. We remove the minced meat from the fire.
  4. Cooking the sauce. To do this, melt 40 g of butter in a frying pan, add 40 g (1.5 tablespoons) of flour, and mix.
  5. Continuing to stir the mass with a whisk, add the curry. Mix thoroughly until smooth. Pour in 200 ml of cream. While stirring, prepare the sauce until thickened.
  6. Pour vegetable broth into the thickened sauce. While stirring, prepare the sauce for 1-2 minutes. Add the cheese, stir until the cheese is completely dissolved, and remove the sauce from the heat.
  7. Let the sauce cool for 5 minutes. We turn on the oven to heat up to 180 degrees. Peel the boiled potatoes and cut them into large pieces.
  8. We spread the potatoes in a mold (I have a mold measuring 20×21 cm). Put the minced meat on top of the potatoes, lightly pressing it with a spatula. Cover the minced meat with sauce, level it over the entire surface with a spatula, and send it to an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 25 minutes.
  9. Boiled potatoes, baked with minced chicken, with creamy cheese sauce, ready. Cool the finished casserole slightly, cut into portions, add herbs and serve.
