Boiled Sausage in Batter

Just a few simple ingredients and very little time are enough to turn an ordinary cooked sausage into an original dish. Based on the Leningrad style sausage recipe.

Ingredients

  • Cooked sausage without bacon – 400 g
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Milk – 80 ml
  • Mayonnaise – 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Flour – 5 tablespoon. heaped spoons (150 g)
  • Vegetable oil (for frying) – 50 g

Directions

  1. We prepare all the necessary products for cooking sausages in batter.
  2. Cut the boiled sausage into 1.5 cm thick semicircles.
  3. Cooking batter. To do this, combine milk, egg and mayonnaise. Add salt to taste.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Add flour.
  6. We mix. The batter should be thick enough so that it does not run off the sausage.
  7. We dip each piece of sausage into batter.
  8. Pour 2 tablespoon into a preheated pan. tablespoons of vegetable oil and fry the sausage in batter on both sides until golden brown. Add vegetable oil as needed.
  9. We spread the fried sausage in batter on a paper towel so that excess fat is absorbed.
  10. This sausage is delicious both hot and cold.
