Butter Buns “Roses” with Chocolate Filling

Cute buns made of yeast dough stuffed with chocolate attract with their unusual appearance. I just want to know what they have inside!

Servings: 12

Ingredients

  • Black chocolate – 90 g
  • Flour – 500 g
  • Milk – 200 ml
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Butter – 80 g + for greasing the mold
  • Sugar – 70 g
  • Dry fast-acting yeast – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Powdered sugar (for sprinkling) – optional

Directions

  1. Prepare ingredients for making chocolate buns.
    Milk and eggs for yeast dough should be at room temperature.
    If the milk is from the refrigerator, it needs to be warmed up to a warm state.
  2. Melt the butter in the microwave and cool.
    Mix yeast with flour (how to use yeast is written on the package).
  3. Break eggs into a bowl, add sugar and salt. Beat with a whisk.
    Add melted and cooled butter. Mix well.
  4. Pour in warm milk and stir.
  5. Pour the flour mixed with yeast into the butter-milk mixture in portions, stirring each time with a whisk until the lumps disappear.
  6. When it becomes difficult to stir with a whisk, transfer the dough to the table and continue kneading with your hands, adding the remaining flour.
    Knead the dough with your hands for at least 15 minutes, but in no case beat or throw it – yeast dough does not like this. The dough should be soft, elastic, not sticking to hands and work surface.
    Place the dough in a bowl, cover with a towel or plastic wrap and remove to come to a warm place for 1.5 hours.
  7. After an hour, take out the dough, knead and remove again for approach.
    The matched dough will increase in volume at least 2 times, it is soft and fluffy.
  8. Divide the dough into 12 parts (according to the number of future rolls). Roll the dough into balls, cover with a towel and leave for 10 minutes.
  9. Meanwhile, melt the chocolate.
    Break a bar of chocolate into pieces, place in a small container and put it in a water bath. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the chocolate is completely melted. Remove from heat.
  10. Roll out dough blanks into circles with a diameter of about 13 cm.
  11. Grease half of the dough with melted chocolate (with the back of a spoon).
  12. Fold the chocolate and dough circle in half.
  13. Using a sharp knife, cut the resulting workpiece into three strips.
  14. Twist the strips of dough into rolls, which are attached one to one, forming a “rose”.
    Turn on the oven to heat up to 180 degrees.
    Grease a baking dish with butter.
  15. Put the “roses” from the dough into the cells of the prepared form.
    Bake rose buns in the oven at 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
  16. Remove the finished yeast dough buns with chocolate filling from the oven, cool slightly.
  17. Then transfer the buns from the mold to the wire rack and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  18. Delicious, tender and soft buns with chocolate filling are ready.
