Chakhokhbili with Chicken

Chakhokhbili with chicken is a very simple and tasty poultry dish stewed in tomato and onion sauce. Usually, the wife cooks chakhokhbili, this time I decided to cook it myself.

Ingredients

  • Chicken – 1.2-1.5 kg
  • Onions – 1 kg
  • Tomatoes – 1 kg
  • Garlic
  • Parsley
  • Cilantro
  • Basil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Directions

How to cook chicken chakhokhbili:

  1. Fry the chopped chicken until crisp in a dry skillet with a thick bottom. I used a cauldron.
  2. Salt the fried chicken, add a little oil and put onions.
  3. After about five minutes add the tomatoes.
    Simmer over low heat for half an hour, covered.
  4. 5-10 minutes before the chakhokhbili is ready, add garlic, herbs, spices.
