  • Chicken drumsticks – 4 pcs.
  • Bulb onions (large) – 2 pcs.
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Soy sauce – 50 ml
  • Ground paprika – 1 teaspoon
  • Seasoning “Caucasian herbs” – 1 teaspoon
  • Rice (for garnish) – 120 g
  • Green onion (for serving) – 2-3 feathers

Chicken Legs Marinated with Soy Sauce Instructions

  1. Peel and chop the 2 large onions and 2 garlic cloves.
  2. Place the 4 chicken drumsticks in a large bowl with the chopped onion, garlic, ground paprika, and Caucasian herbs.
  3. Add the soy sauce and mix everything well.
  4. Cover the bowl with a smaller plate and weigh it down with a jar of water or similar. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours (raw chicken marinades must be kept cold).
  5. Rinse the rice and place in a pot with cold water using a 1:2 ratio (rice to water). Bring to a boil and cook for 15-20 minutes after boiling.
  6. Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  7. Place the marinated chicken and onion from the bowl into the pan.
  8. Cover and simmer on low heat for 5-10 minutes.
  9. Finely chop the 2-3 green onion feathers.
  10. Add 100 ml water to the pan and continue simmering covered for 15-20 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 74 °C (165 °F).
  11. To serve, place cooked rice on a plate, top with the stewed onion, arrange the chicken drumsticks nearby, and garnish with the chopped green onions.
