Ingredients

  • 200 g soy medallion (s), dry
  • 2 liters vegetable stock
  • 200 ml sunflower oil or other highly heatable oil
  • 3 tablespoon, heaped tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 3 medium clove garlic (s)
  • 2 tablespoon, leveled soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon, leveled liquid smoke
  • 2 tablespoon, heaped paprika, hot as rose
  • 1 pinch (s) chili powder
  • 2 pinches pepper
  • 2 pinches herbal salt

Instructions

  1. Cook the soy medallions in the vegetable stock for at least 15 minutes. Meanwhile prepare the marinade. To do this, mix all the other ingredients with the oil - the easiest way is to put them directly in the marinating vessel.
  2. Pour off the medallions, let them cool and then squeeze them out thoroughly - they shouldn`t release any more liquid when pressed. Put the medallions in the marinade and mix well.
  3. Skewer about 4 medallions with the narrow side first, so the skewers can be processed better. Incidentally, wooden skewers previously placed in water do not turn black so quickly on the grill.
  4. Grill the soy medallions to the desired brown color - or simply fry them in the pan.
