Chocolate Orange Muffin

For any holiday, especially for spring, it is pleasant to prepare a chocolate-orange cake, which is not too difficult even for novice cooks, from the available ingredients.

Ingredients

  • Flour – 350 g
  • Sour cream – 200 g
  • Eggs – 4 pcs.
  • Butter – 100 g
  • Oranges – 2 pcs.
  • Orange peel – 1 tbsp
  • Black chocolate – 100 g
  • Vanilla sugar – 5-10 g
  • Sea salt – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Baking powder – 2 teaspoon
  • For orange syrup:
  • Oranges – 3 pcs.
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp

Directions

  1. Add sugar to the yolks, separated from the proteins. Beat.
  2. Pour a pinch of salt to the proteins, beat them into a lush foam.
  3. Combine yolks with sugar with softened butter and baking powder.
  4. Add flour to the whipped yolk mass, combine with the whipped egg whites. Mix.
  5. Pour vanilla sugar into the dough.
  6. Chop the chocolate finely with a knife.
  7. Grate orange peel and squeeze out the juice.
  8. Heat the oven to 180 ° C. Pour the juice of two oranges into the dough, add the zest, chocolate.
  9. Add sour cream, stir.
  10. Pour the dough into a greased pan. Bake the chocolate orange cake for 1 hour.
  11. Squeeze out the orange juice for the syrup.
  12. Pour sugar into the juice, add 3-4 tablespoon. tablespoons of water, boil, let cool.
  13. Remove the baked cupcake from the mold.
  14. Put the muffin on the foil, cool. Pierce the cooled orange cake with chocolate in several places with a culinary needle.
  15. Saturate the cake with orange syrup.
  16. Wrap the orange muffin in foil for 8 hours.
  17. Turn the soaked orange-chocolate muffin onto a serving platter.
  18. You can decorate the cupcake with, for example, candied flowers to make it tasty, aromatic and elegant!
