“Christmas Candles” Snack

This recipe was invented by my mom. Pure improvisation, but how delicious! A worthy dish for a festive table for New Year and Christmas. It is not at all difficult to prepare an appetizer, the design also does not take much time. If we are convinced, we start cooking together.

Ingredients

  • Sweet pepper – 6 pcs. (5 green and 1 red for decoration)
  • Processed cheese – 2 pcs.
  • Ham – 100 g
  • Chicken breast (boiled) – 50 g
  • Carrots (raw) – 1 pc.
  • Walnuts (dry in the oven) – 100 g
  • Garlic – 3-4 cloves
  • Mayonnaise for dressing

Directions

  1. Important: buy good cheeses, the taste of the dish depends on them.
    Fresh bell peppers can be used, or frozen peppers in winter.
  2. Wash the pepper, cut off the top and bottom (so that it stands firmly on the plate), remove the seedbox, put it on a dish.
  3. Cooking the filling: grate the processed cheese and carrots on a medium grater. Pass the garlic through a press.
  4. Finely dice the meat and ham.
  5. Grind walnuts in a mortar.
  6. Mix all ingredients except sweet peppers and season with mayonnaise.
  7. Gently stuff the peppers with the filling. Cut the candle wicks out of the red pepper. Decorate the stuffed peppers with them. You can put greens at the bottom of the plate.

That’s all, the holiday snack is ready!
