Almond Cookies “Candles”

Soft almond biscuits with a hint of lemon can brighten your New Year’s tea party. Delicate, aromatic, rich in almonds.

Ingredients

  • Wheat flour / Flour – 170 g
  • Baking dough – 1 package.
  • Almonds – 250 g
  • Powdered sugar  – 100 g
  • Vanilla sugar – 1 packet.
  • Lemon zest – 1-2 teaspoon
  • Milk – 50 ml
  • Butter (melted) – 50 g
  • Egg white – 1 pc
  • White chocolate (or / and dark) – 50 g

Directions

  1. Prepare food. Melt the butter and cool. Peel the walnut and chop (leave 4-5 pieces for decoration, not chop).
  2. Sift flour with baking powder.
  3. 2 tablespoon. set aside tablespoons of chopped nuts. Add the rest of the almonds to the flour, along with powdered sugar, vanilla sugar. Mix.
  4. Add lemon zest, milk, butter, egg white.
  5. Knead the dough. Wrap the dough in sausage-shaped foil with a diameter of about 3 cm. Put in the freezer for 1 hour.
  6. Cut the dough by centimeter, put it on baking paper. Sprinkle with the set almonds. Insert a thin piece of almonds into the middle.
  7. We put it in the oven for 20-25 minutes (165-170 degrees). Cool the cookies. Melt the chocolate and spread it over the edges of the cookies.
