Ingredients

  • 1 half onion (s), red, finely chopped
  • 0.5 ½ bunch basil
  • olive oil
  • 400 g tomato (s)
  • 300 ml broth
  • Gnocchi, amount as desired
  • Cornstarch as required
  • 1 teaspoon crème fraîche as required
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch (s) cinnamon to taste

Instructions

  1. Sauté the finely chopped onion and basil in heated olive oil. Skin, puree and fry the tomatoes. Add the stock, bring everything to a boil. Season to taste with salt, pepper and cinnamon. Add the gnocchi and cook, thicken with cornstarch if necessary.
  2. Fill onto plates and, if necessary, add a teaspoon of crème fraiche.
  3. Serve with baguette and a fresh salad.
  4. Tip: briefly deglaze the onions with red wine.
