Instructions

  1. Maybe chop the cranberries - but you don`t have to. Soak in the orange juice for 10 minutes.
  2. Mix the flour with the baking powder. Put all ingredients except the egg yolk in a bowl. Add the cranberries with the orange juice and knead into a dough (if it is too sticky, add a little more flour). Shape the dough into a roll and wrap it in foil and place in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C fan oven. Divide the rolling pin into 8 portions, shape each into a round bun. Whisk the egg yolk with 1 tablespoon of water and brush the scones with it. Bake in a hot oven at 200 ° C for about 20 minutes.
  4. Tips: The scones taste best when they are warm with freshly whipped cream and jam. They can also be easily baked again the next day in the microwave if they are temporarily stored in a bag in the refrigerator.
