Festive Tartlets “Baskets”

These salad tartlets have passed the 12 hour test without getting wet! Then they were eaten with great pleasure. 🙂 The recipe is simple, the dough is delicious, the presentation is original. Perhaps the best tartlets for the holiday. Cook and taste with different fillings!

Ingredients

  • Flour – 250 g
  • Eggs – 1 pc.
  • Butter (cold) – 120 g
  • Salt – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Baking powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cold water (if necessary) – 1-2 tablespoons

Directions

  1. The products are the simplest, let’s prepare and start.
  2. We send salt and baking powder to the flour. Mix well. Add chopped cold butter and egg.
  3. Knead the dough, but do not knead much. The main thing is to collect everything in a ball. If the egg is not large enough, then add 1-2 tbsp of cold water. Put the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  4. The dough is settled. We leave a little dough to form the handles for the baskets. And from the rest we form tartlets: we take a piece of dough and evenly distribute it on the molds. Remove excess dough, add if necessary.
  5. Before baking, prick the bottom of the tartlets with a fork so that they do not swell during baking.
  6. Roll out thin flagella from the remaining dough. We connect the flagella in pairs, forming pigtails about 10-12 cm long. We fold the “pigtails” in the form of a horseshoe – these will be handles for baskets. We attach the handles to the mold so as not to miscalculate the size. From this amount of dough, about 15 tartlets with “handles” are obtained.
  7. We bake the tartlets in the oven with handles at a temperature of 180 degrees, for about 10 minutes. The tartlets should not be too fried. We take out the finished tartlets from the molds.
  8. We fill the tartlets with your favorite salad, insert the handles and serve them on the festive table!
