Fried Shrimps with Onions and Garlic

Even expensive restaurants do not always serve tasty and fresh shrimp. Therefore, it makes sense to prepare this seafood delicacy at home. A simple recipe for fried shrimp with onions and garlic will help you with this.

Ingredients

  • Boiled-frozen shrimps – 300 g
  • Garlic – 1-2 cloves
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Apple cider vinegar – 1 tbsp
    or dry white wine – 1 tbsp
  • Vegetable oil – 1-1.5 tbsp
  • Soy sauce – 3 tbsp
  • Ground ginger – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon

For filing:

  • Lemon – 0.5 pcs.
  • Green onion – 3-4 feathers

Directions

  1. Prepare food.
  2. Boil 0.5 liters of water in a saucepan, add salt. Dip the shrimps in boiling salted water, wait for the second boil and remove from heat.
    Place the shrimp on a sieve and rinse with ice water.
  3. Peel the shells of the shrimp, remove the heads and legs. I left the ponytails for an aesthetic look.
  4. Peel the onion and cut it into small cubes.
    Peel and chop the garlic.
  5. Rinse the green onion feathers and cut diagonally into 0.3-0.5 mm pieces.
    Cut half the lemon into slices. Cut off one slice of lemon to pour the fried shrimp with juice in the future.
  6. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Fry the onions and garlic over the heat slightly above medium for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Add shrimp.
  8. Stir and fry for 4-5 minutes.
  9. Add apple cider vinegar or dry white wine, soy sauce, and ground ginger to the shrimp.
  10. Stir and simmer for another minute.
  11. Before serving, place the fried shrimp with onions and garlic in soy sauce on a serving dish, sprinkle with green onions, drizzle with lemon juice and garnish with lemon slices.
