Fried Squid with Spicy Sauce

Mini squids are marinated in spicy sauce and grilled. Fried calamari with cilantro and lime are served.

Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • Mini squid – 500 g
  • Tamarind paste – 2 tbsp
  • Chili sauce – 2 tbsp
  • Sweet soy sauce – 3 tbsp
  • One lime juice
  • Fresh ginger (chopped on a grater) – 25 g
  • Chili green (finely chopped) – 2-4 pcs.
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Cilantro, fresh leaves for serving
  • Lime wedges for serving

Directions

  1.  Peel and wash the squid.
  2.  In a small bowl, combine tamarind paste, chili sauce, soy sauce and lime juice. Put ginger, chili pepper in this sauce and add a little black pepper.
  3. Pour the squid with prepared ginger sauce, mix well, cover and place in the refrigerator for one hour.
  4. In the meantime, preheat your barbecue or grill pan. Put the squid on a heated surface and fry for about 3 minutes on each side, brushing with marinade.

Serve fried squid with cilantro and lime wedges.
