Whole Fried Squid

I’ve always loved the flexibility in creating seafood dishes. They can be sweet, spicy, creamy. And also simple or complex (or generally a restaurant level).

Cook: 35 mins

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Squid – 1 Kilogram (carcass)
  • Water – 2 Liters
  • Lemon – 1 Piece
  • Allspice peas – 3 Pieces
  • Bay leaf – 2 pieces
  • Salt – 2 Tbsp. spoons
  • Sugar – 3 Tbsp. spoons
  • Apple cider vinegar – 2 Tbsp. spoons
  • Greens – 1 Bunch
  • Spices – To taste

Directions

  1. Wash and peel the squids.
  2. Pour water and vinegar into a saucepan. Pour salt, sugar, bay leaf and pepper into it. Bring the marinade to a boil. Boil it for 5 minutes. Then add the squid to the marinade. Turn off the heat after 1 minute.
  3. Let the squid cool in the marinade. Then grill them with salt and spices (2 minutes on each side). Sprinkle a little lemon juice on the dish, add herbs.
