Pasta with Squid Ingredients

  • Penne pasta (feather pasta) – 230 g
  • Peeled squids – 320 g
  • Canned tomatoes without skin (chopped) – 400 g
  • Olive oil – 0.3333 cup
  • Onions (cut into rings) – 2 pcs.
  • Fish or chicken broth – 1 glass
  • Dry red wine – 0.6667 cup
  • Tomato paste – 2 tbsp
  • Fresh marjoram (chopped) – 1 tbsp
  • Bay leaf – 1 pc.
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Fresh parsley (chopped) – 2 tbsp

Pasta with Squid Instructions

  1. Boil the pasta in salted water until semi-cooked, according to the instructions on the package.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil, add the onion and fry, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes.
  3. Place the squid rings in a frying pan and pour in the broth, bring to a boil, cook for 3 minutes. Then add wine, tomatoes, tomato paste, marjoram, bay leaf, salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil, cook for about 5 minutes.
  4. Drain the pasta and transfer to the pan with squid, cook the pasta with squid until the pasta is fully cooked. Remove bay leaf from the prepared pasta with squid.

Serve the squid pasta immediately in portioned bowls, sprinkle with parsley.
