Ingredients

  • 600 g squid tube (s), thawed
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 1 lemon (s)
  • 1 handful herbs, fresh, mixed, e.g., parsley, thyme, rosemary, sage
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, black, freshly ground
  • 1 pinch (s) cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Wash the thawed squid tubes and cut into rings. Peel the garlic and chop in to fine slithers.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat and sweat the garlic in it. Before the garlic starts to brown, add the squid rings and turn them every now and then.
  3. In the meantime, finely chop the herbs. When the leaked water has evaporated, sprinkle the squid with the herbs, sprinkle with a little lemon juice, season with salt, pepper and a little cayenne pepper and fold in. Let it steep for a few minutes with the stove switched off.
  4. Serve with a lemon wedge. A green salad with onions goes very well with this.
