Ingredients
- 700 g pork
- gyros spice
- 1 onion (s)
- 1 bell pepper (s)
- 50 ml Metaxa
- 3 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 cup cream, approx. 200 ml
- 1 cup sour cream, approx. 200 g
- 200 g cheese, rated
- 1 kg potato (s) or more
- Garlic, pressed through
- salt
- oil

- Cut the pork into small pieces. Peel and slice the onion. Mix both in a bowl with gyros spice and 2 tablespoons of oil and let it steep, preferably overnight.
- Wash, core and cut the pepper into thin strips.
- Fry the meat. Fry the peppers briefly and deglaze with Metaxa. Add the tomato paste. Add the sour cream and cream and bring to the boil. Transfer everything to a baking dish and sprinkle the cheese over it.
- Bake the casserole in a hot oven at 180 ° C top / bottom heat for about 20 minutes.
- In the meantime, peel the potatoes and cut them into medium-thick slices. Bake the slices in the deep fryer at 170 ° C. When the potatoes are golden brown, remove the slices and season with salt and fresh garlic as needed.
- Arrange everything nicely and let it taste good.
- Baguette can also be served with it.
