Hominy with Sour Cream

Hominy according to this recipe is made from corn flour. The finished hominy is cut into pieces and poured with sour cream.

Ingredients

  • Mill corn flour – 100 g
  • Water – 300 g
  • Sour cream – 50 g
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon (to taste)

Directions

  1. Prepare food.
  2. Pour 300 g of water into a saucepan with a thick bottom and a non-stick coating or a cauldron and add 1 teaspoon of salt. Put on high heat and bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat to low. In boiling water gradually, in small portions, add corn flour, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon or spatula.
  4. Without stopping stirring, cook for another 10 minutes. Moisten a silicone spatula in water and carefully separate the hominy from the walls of the dishes, smooth the top. Leave on fire for another 2-3 minutes to evaporate excess moisture
  5. Cover the hominy with a lid and leave for 5-10 minutes.
  6. After the lapse of time, turn the mamalyga onto a cutting board, the finished mamalyga should move well from the walls of the dishes.
  7. Cut the cornmeal hominy into pieces and pour over the sour cream.
