Honey Cupcakes

If guests are already on their way and you don’t know how to treat them, then this cupcake recipe is for you! Honey muffins are moderately sweet, airy and tall.

Ingredients

  • Honey – 2 tablespoons
  • Vegetable oil – 0.5 cups
  • Boiled warm water – 250 ml
  • Sugar – 0.5 cups
  • Soda – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • Flour – 1.5-2 cups

Directions

  1. So, take a bowl, pour warm water into it, add honey, sugar, vegetable oil and salt. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Then the flour must be mixed with baking soda and sifted into a bowl with the rest of the ingredients. Stir with a whisk until the mass is homogeneous, there should be no lumps in the dough. The consistency of the muffin dough is like liquid sour cream. You can also add raisins or nuts to the dough.
  3. Next, pour the dough into muffin tins (I bake in the old fashioned way, in metal tins, so before pouring the dough into them, I grease them thoroughly with oil). It is important not to fill out the form completely because the dough rises well.
  4. We bake honey muffins in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 20 minutes. After this time, let the cupcakes cool slightly and remove from the molds.
  5. Sprinkle the cooled honey muffins with powdered sugar on top, if desired.
