Honey – Macaroons Ingredients

  • Honey – 125 ml
  • Sugar (preferably brown) – 75 g
  • Margarine – 30 g
  • Wheat flour / Flour – 200 g
  • Baking dough – 1 teaspoon.
  • Cinnamon (+ on the tip of a knife nutmeg, cloves, cardamom, or 1/2 teaspoon spice for lebkuchen) –

Honey – Macaroons

1/2 teaspoon

  • Egg white – 1 pc
  • Marzipan – 300 g
  • Powdered sugar (+ 2 teaspoon white wine or lemon juice) – 3 teaspoon

Honey – Macaroons Instructions

  1. Heat honey, sugar, and margarine and stir until sugar dissolves. Mix the flour, baking powder, and spices, add to the honey mass, knead the dough, and put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  2. Divide the chilled dough into 4 parts, roll each into a rectangle 8 x 24 cm. Divide the marzipan mass into 4 parts. from each makes a roller 24 cm long.
  3. Now we spread the marzipan roller on a rectangle, grease the edges of the dough with protein and roll up the roll. We roll it on the table several times so that the joint seam disappears.
    So we make 4 rolls.
  4. Then we cut the rolls into triangles, as in the photo. I did it with a simple thread because the dough wrinkles from the knife. The dough rolls out well without adding flour, but it is better to do this on baking paper.
  5. We bake in an oven preheated to 190 * for 15-20 minutes (until browned).
  6. Cover the cooled cookies with a thin layer of glaze (powdered sugar + wine), let them dry.

Enjoy your meal!
