Large Cutlet Baked with Mushrooms, Tomatoes and Cheese

If you like French meat, be sure to pay attention to this recipe for a “big cutlet” made from minced meat baked with mushrooms, tomatoes, and cheese – the dish turns out to be almost identical in taste. Well, very tasty, satisfying, and original!

Ingredients

  • Minced pork – 350 g
  • Champignons – 180 g
  • Tomato – 1 pc.
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Hard cheese – 60 g
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Sunflower oil – 3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Fresh greens (for decoration) – to taste

Directions

  1. Put the minced pork into a bowl, season with salt and pepper, and mix well by hand. It will be better if you beat off the minced meat. To do this, the minced meat must be collected in hand and thrown into the bowl several times. So the minced meat will become more plastic and it will be better to keep its shape.
  2. Place the prepared minced meat on a piece of parchment and shape it into a cake. Its dia should be approximately equal to the dia of the pan in which this large cutlet will be fried. I have a patty-cutlet with a diameter of 17 cm and a thickness of about 1.5 cm.
  3. In a skillet, heat 1.5 tablespoon. tablespoons of vegetable oil. Now, with a dexterous and quick movement, turn over and place the cutlet along with a sheet of parchment in the pan. Then carefully remove the parchment.
  4. Fry a large cutlet over high heat for about 5 minutes, until golden brown.
  5. Then, turning the fried side up, transfer the cutlet to a baking dish or on a baking sheet that can be pre-covered with foil.
  6. Prepare the mushrooms: peel the caps and the legs from dirt. Cut the mushrooms into not too thin slices. Peel the onion and cut into half rings. Peel and chop the garlic.
  7. In a skillet, heat 1.5 tablespoon. tablespoons of sunflower oil. Place the mushrooms, onion, and garlic in a pan and fry over high heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with a little salt.
  8. Place the sautéed mushrooms and onions over the meat cutlet. Turn on the oven to heat up to 190 degrees.
  9. Remove the stem from the tomato. Cut the tomato into thin slices.
  10. Put tomato slices on a layer of mushrooms and onions.
  11. Grate hard cheese on a coarse grater.
  12. Cover the tomato layer with cheese.
  13. Bake a large meat cutlet with mushrooms, tomatoes, and cheese in a preheated oven at 190 degrees for about 20 minutes.
  14. Gently transfer the prepared minced meat casserole with mushrooms, tomatoes, and cheese to a plate. Sprinkle with chopped herbs. From these ingredients, you get a full male portion or, if you cut a baked patty in half, two standard portions. Serve hot.
