Lazy Dumplings with Potatoes and Pumpkin

Ingredients

  • Boiled potatoes – 200 g
  • Boiled pumpkin – 100 g
  • Flour – 150 g
  • Yolk – 1 pc.
  • Champignons – 200 g
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp
  • Butter – 20 g
  • Salt to taste
  • Dried garlic – 2 pinches
  • Nutmeg – 1 pinch
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

Directions

  1. To serve, we need mushrooms: cut them into slices and put them in a frying pan with heated oil (we use both butter and vegetable). Also add onion chopped into half rings to the mushrooms.
  2. Fry the mushrooms and onions until golden brown. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Mash boiled potatoes and pumpkin in mashed potatoes. Add some salt to taste.
  4. Whisk in one egg yolk and stir. Season to taste.
  5. Add flour to knead the dough.
  6. Roll a ball of soft dough that won’t stick to your hands. The dough for lazy dumplings with potatoes and pumpkin is ready.
  7. Cut the dough into small pieces.
  8. Roll into balls no more than 3 cm in diameter and make dimples in the middle with your finger.
  9. Boil water (add a little salt) and add lazy dumplings there. Cook for 3-4 minutes after boiling water again.
  10. Mix ready-made lazy dumplings with fried mushrooms and serve.
