Ingredients

  • 1 kg minced meat, mixed
  • 1 cup long grain rice or basmati
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 200 g feta cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream, optional
  • sage
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • 0.5 liter ½ broth
  • 1 tablespoon oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 220 ° C. Cook the rice and let it cool down a little.
  2. Mix the minced meat with the egg and rice well. Season with pepper, salt, paprika and sage. Finally, carefully mix in the sheep`s cheese cut into small cubes.
  3. Put the mixture in a greased roaster and shape into a loaf. Peel the onion, cut into large pieces and spread around the roast. Fry for approx. 90 minutes, then pour the stock over half the cooking time.
  4. If you like, you can thicken the sauce with the sour cream after removing it from the oven.
  5. Potato salad and fresh salad go very well with this.
