Meringue with Banana

With just one additional ingredient, regular meringues can be used to create an exciting new treat. The meringue with banana pieces tastes very interesting!

Ingredients

  • Banana – 1 pc.
  • Egg whites – 3 pcs. (about 100 g)
  • Sugar – 150 g
  • Corn starch – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – 1 pinch

Directions

  1. Prepare ingredients.
  2. The egg whites should be cold and the utensils for beating them should be dry.
  3. Beat egg whites with salt until soft peaks, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Gradually add all the sugar and beat until a dense, shiny mass and the sugar is completely dissolved for about 15 minutes. Add starch, continue whisking for another 1 minute.
  5. Turn on the oven to heat up to 100 degrees.
  6. Peel the banana and chop finely.
  7. Add the banana to the protein mass, stir.
  8. Transfer the mass to a pastry bag. Cover the baking sheet with parchment. Place the meringue on a baking sheet. Bake the banana meringue at 100 degrees for about 2 hours, preferably using the convection mode. The meringues should be dry and peel easily from the parchment.
  9. Ready-made banana meringues can be served with tea or coffee.
