Minced Meat Kebab in Puff Pastry, Cooked on Skewers

Meatballs in puff pastry, baked on skewers in the oven, is a spectacular and very tasty dish that will fit into the everyday menu and will decorate any festive table! The meatballs are juicy, the crunchy dough is soaked in meat juice, I’m sure everyone will be delighted!

Ingredients

  • Minced pork and beef – 400 g
  • Puff pastry – 250 g
  • Yolk – 1 pc.
  • Soy sauce – 2 tbsp
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

Directions

  1. Transfer the minced meat to a bowl. Peel the onion and garlic. Grate the onion on a coarse grater, and the garlic on a fine grater. Put the onion and garlic in a bowl for the minced meat.
  2. Add salt, ground pepper, and soy sauce.
  3. Mix the minced meat thoroughly and beat it well. Put a bowl of minced meat in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes.
  4. Shape the minced meat into balls the size of a large walnut. I got 15 meatballs – 3 pieces per skewer.
  5. Turn on the oven to heat up to 180 degrees. Cut the puff pastry into strips (5 pieces) slightly wider than the meatballs.
  6. Soak wooden skewers in cold water for 5 minutes. Then take a skewer and string a strip of dough on it, stepping back from the edge 1.5-2 cm, then a meatball, and again the dough. Thus, string three meatballs onto a skewer, wrapping a strip of dough around them.
  7. Form skewers with leftover meatballs and dough strips. Place the skewers in a baking dish. Lubricate the dough with egg yolk and send the kebabs to the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, until the meatballs and dough are golden browns.
  8. Minced meat skewers in puff pastry, baked on skewers, are ready.
  9. Transfer the kebab to a plate and serve hot, garnish with parsley if desired.
